Water Balance Consulting facilitated the negotiations between the United States and Mexico over the use and allocation of the Colorado River, leading to the successful signing of Minute 319 to the 1944 Binational Treaty specifying the utilization of water between the two countries. By providing technical modeling capacity to develop and explore water management strategies and facilitating the communication of hydrologic management concepts between the two countries, Water Balance Consulting provided tools that were critical to allow the decision makers to achieve a historic milestone of collaboration on the Colorado River.
